Daisy’s Cottage Barnabrow is situated within the grounds of Barnabrow Country House in County Cork. Dating back to the 17th century this estate encompasses 35 acres of rolling parkland, a truly unique and idyllic location which can be enjoyed by all our self-catering guests.

Barnabrow Country House is a popular wedding venue and a wonderful destination for a special celebration or group gathering.

Daisy’s Cottage Barnabrow is a luxury self-catering holiday cottage. Decorated and designed to a high standard this beautiful holiday cottage offers a unique holiday experience. Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, the perfect place to relax and unwinding in unique surroundings. This unique holiday cottages sleeps 6/8 guests and has 3 bedrooms:

Bedroom 1: double ensuite with shower sleeping 2

Bedroom 2: double ensuite with bath & shower sleeping 2

WIFI (fibre broadband) is available free of charge.

Enjoy alfresco dining and relax in a mature open-plan garden.

Parking is provided.

Towels are available at the property.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. Heating and Electricity:

This is an extra charge which is mostly payable to the Property Manager/Owner. In some cases, energy is charged at a fixed daily rate or a rate per unit on the units consumed or you are required to top up a Pre-Paid Meter while in others, energy charges are included in the rate you have paid. We advise you to check with the local Owner/ Property Manager prior to arrival how this is calculated or prior to making the booking.

2. Security Deposit:

A minimum refundable security deposit of €200 (per property) must be paid prior to check-in to your holiday home to the local Property Manager/ Owner. This is either taken over the phone by pre-authorising your credit card when you call the Property Manager to arrange your arrival time 48 hours in advance of arrival or at others it is taken on arrival. In some locations and at certain times of year this can increase to €500 per property.

Spacious cottage in an ideal location "We spent a week in the cottage, two adults and two children (9 & 10). The property manager was very helpful, and even left a gift for us on our arrival, which was a lovely surprise. The cottage was very spacious and extremely well stocked. The location is excellent, next to Ballymaloe, a short drive from several beaches and beautiful restaurants, and there is so much to do in the area, all within a half-hour drive from the cottage, we could easily have stayed longer than a week! We were also there during a storm, and the solid-fuel stove was wonderful for keeping us cosy. The only slight negatives were that the windows rattled a bit (although, as I said, we were there during stormy weather), and the floor seems to be sagging in a couple of places, but neither of those things affected us hugely. Also, it would be helpful to have a manual in the property for how to operate heating, stove, etc., and what to do with rubbish & recycling, but overall, we really enjoyed our stay, and would recommend it to any families or groups visiting the area.""The only slight negatives were that the windows rattled a bit (although, as I said, we were there during stormy weather), and the floor seems to be sagging in a couple of places, but neither of those things affected us hugely. Perfect 3 generation holiday accommodation "The space, three bathrooms, the location, the helpful information provided by the property manager Vera. The area around Barnabrow is delightful and we found lots of great food shops, pubs and restaurants. A great location for people who like cooking and eating.""A few more kitchen equipment items would be helpful-a mixing bowl (we bought a cheap plastic one in Tesco and left it behind) and more dishes for serving food. A roasting tin would also be useful. But overall the kitchen is well equipped with great cooker and fridge freezer. And the washing machine and drier were invaluable."- Mary18/07/2023

A lovley cottage"The cottage was very clean and tidy. It was much bigger than expected and easily accommodated six adults and an infant. There was bread, milk and butter in the fridge to welcome us. Vera, the cottage manager, couldn't do enough to help us. It is situated about a 5 minute drive outside of Cloyne. Barnabrow House is next door and has donkeys and goats in their field. Would definitley recommend this accommodation if staying in East Cork.""It was very windy for a couple of the days we stayed and some of the windows rattled throughout the night. We stuffed them with cardboard to stop the rattling. I made Vera aware and she plans to replace some of the windows sooner rather than later. "- Mike20/06/2023

Family holiday"Daisy's cottage was the perfect base for our first family trip to Ireland. So big that our family of 6 never felt on top of each other and every home comfort we could have asked for. Each bedroom's private bathroom made life so much easier with 3 teens. Vera was a fantastic host who really saved our holiday by sharing her ideas of places to go (tbh, do expect to do a lot of driving to find things to do) and of beautiful local beaches.
