About Clifden

Clifden is the largest town in Connemara in Co. Galway, with the River Owenglin flowing through it. It is set between the spectacular Atlantic Ocean, Twelve Ben Mountains, and preserved boglands. It is a small, appealing Victorian country town. You will love wandering through the art galleries , antique shops, and craft stores ,taking in the sights of their vibrant shop fronts. There is an excellent choice of great pubs, restaurants, and cafés.

Combine a visit in September to Clifden’s lively Arts Festival and explore the wonderful landscape around the town, walk the white beaches, go golfing, or explore the area on horseback. Our choice of holiday homes in Connemara at Ballyconneely and Mannin Bay is just 15km from Clifden, making them a great choice for visitors to the West of Ireland.
