About Ballyconneely
Ballyconneely is located 10 km south from Clifden, and 14 km from Roundstone, it is at the gateway to the Errismore Peninsula. It is a tiny village, boasting just a shop and pub and post office.
The peninsula is virtually ringed by beaches – from the coral Strand at Derrygimla, to the duned beaches at Aillebrack, all perfect for swimming and water sports. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty with many historic sites to visit.
To the west is Doon Hill and less than 1 km west, near the road to Bunowen Quay in Aillebrack, is the Well of the Seven Daughters. The magnificent Connemara 18-hole golf course is situated at Aillebrack, near Ballyconneely right beside our holiday homes.
