Pop Goes the Pumpkin

This balloon game is so easy to set up – stuff orange & black balloons with slips of paper that have prize names written on them to be claimed later. Any Halloween party can be made so much better by popping a few balloons for prizes!

Bob the Apple

Find a suitable container and fill the container with cool, not cold, water. Fill it about 3/4 full and float several apples in the water…

What’s in the Bowl?!

Prepare bowls filled with gross, slimy feeling foods that could be interpretative as Halloween themed nasties, such as peeled grapes as eye balls or slimy spaghetti as brains. Each child has to put their hands in the bowls to guess what they’re feeling.

Pin the broom on the witch

Place Blu Tack on the end of the broom. Hang the witch picture on a wall that is roughly eye level to your party guests. Have the children line up in single file and blindfold the first child in the queue. Give them the broom and gently spin them around three times.

Wrap the Mummy

You will need a few rolls of toilet paper; the object of this game is to be the first team to wrap someone up like a mummy.

Halloween Face Painting

Who doesn’t love getting their faces painted? Be sure to look for a set of certified organic face paints and don’t forget the stencils for those of us with no painting skills!

Donut Eating Race

The “Donut Chomp” is the cutest idea! What a great activity, hang a selection of yummy donuts from a string and watch as the kids try to eat the donut. This one looks like so much fun, it should be for adults too!

Chocolate Apples

Make some chocolate and toffee apples and other sweet spooky treats. Insert wooden craft sticks or lollipop sticks into the cores of the apples at the stem. Place the roasted peanuts and candies on separate plates and set aside. Place the chocolate into a metal or glass bowl and set over a pan of barely simmering water. Stir frequently until melted and remove from the heat.

Hide & Seek

We don’t need to explain the rules for this one! Add a Halloween theme to traditional hide and seek by getting the kids to wear costumes. If you’re feeling brave you could let them play inside with the curtains drawn and the lights off and give the seeker a torch.

Ghost Storytelling

Halloween is the perfect time to sit around with family and friends and get into some good old-fashioned spooky storytelling. Spooky stories can feel Halloween-festive without too much drama!
