Ros Muc, or Rosmuck, is a scenic village in the Connemara Gaeltacht, County Galway, surrounded by rugged landscapes, lakes, and hills. It’s rich in Irish culture and history, notably as the summer home of Patrick Pearse, a leader of the 1916 Easter Rising. Pearse’s Cottage, where he immersed himself in the Irish language, is a major attraction.
The village also offers serene spots like Derrylea Lake, access to the Wild Atlantic Way, and hiking trails in the surrounding boglands. Traditional Irish music sessions in local pubs add to its cultural charm. Nearby attractions include Clifden, the Twelve Bens mountains, Connemara National Park, and Kylemore Abbey.
