Glen Ard is conveniently located on the edge of Dunmore East, within a few minutes stroll of the village and the 2 sandy coves, Counsellors and Lawlor’s.
The beautiful, 4 bedroom holiday home is situated in a quiet residential area, and is tastefully decorated and well maintained. There is a spacious living room on the ground floor with double doors leading to an open plan kitchen / dining area. French doors open onto the patio. On the first floor there are 2 double bedrooms (1 en suite), and 2 single bedrooms (one has a pull out bed), together with a family bathroom.
There is a great choice of activities on offer locally, ranging from golf at Dunmore East Golf Club, tennis at the public courts in the village and horse riding, not to mention any number of fabulous walks along the surrounding cliff tops which have stunning views of the sea and the lighthouse on Hook Peninsula.
As the village is centered around its quaint harbour, there can be no surprise at the wide variety of water based activities available to visitors including sailing, adventure camps, deep sea diving and fishing. This maritime theme is evident in many of the local restaurants and pubs in Dunmore East, most of which serve locally caught fresh fish.

Very comfortable home which is within walking distance to village. Kim, welcome host, was extremely helpful and obliging. Communal areas of house well equipped and beds very comfortable however bedrooms need more shelving and/or drawers and main shower not very powerful but, this aside, the house is excellent.

Very comfortable house, spacious & clean. Great location. Close to local amenities. We would stay here again if visiting Dunmore East. Thank you Kim!

It was perfect! We enjoyed a 4 night stay at 1, Glen Ard in early September 2016 and enjoyed every minute of it.The house is large and spacious and was spotlessly clean. It was fully equipped and extremely comfortable.Mary ensured that we were happily settled in and Kim came to see us prior to our departure - they couldn't have been more helpful. We'd definitely rebook!

We stayed in No. 1 Glen Ard with my wife, step Son, Daughter in law and 3 grand kids. The house was very clean, short walk to shops/beach and eateries, also had all the mod cons. There is a lovely patio to the rear of the property, but there are some steps to a lower garden. If you have small ones, you will need to keep a close eye on them. Or do not let them out there on their own. There is parking for two cars. There is a play area in the town for the kids, Tennis courts and some nice pubs. We would visit again, so recommended.

I stayed in No. 1 Glen Ard with my wife and 9 month old baby. The house was spotless, with all you could need and only a short walk to the local beech, shops etc. The only fault I could find is for a house that is near a beech that would cater for families with small kids it was not really designed for toddlers. It is Ideal for couples or families that have slightly older kids. There is a back garden down steep steps that has no gate on it so you can’t take your eye of your toddler outside at all. Simple things like the night stands beside the bed in the main bedroom are very light and a toddler crawling around on the floor can easily pull them over on top of themselves along with the lamps on top. The front window in the living space is low which is lovely to look out of but again with toddlers, they are incline to try and stand up on it or pull the blinds. There was a lot of lamps etc. at very low levels that all have to be blocked off or lifted up out of the way for safety. I really like this well-kept house and would highly recommend it to everyone except parents with high speed toddlers and the girl (Kim) that manages it was very helpful giving us cots etc. as we needed them.

Just back from a weekend in Dunmore East. No.1 Glen Ard is a beautiful house. It was spotless and everything we required was there. It's a good ten minute walk into the village and the road has no paths so would be dangerous for children. I have no complaints about the house at all and plan a return visit.
