These cosy self catering holiday homes in Co. Tyrone are situated at the foot of the stunning Sperrin Mountains and are just 3Km outside the little village of Pomeroy.
The Sperrin Mountains are the largest although least well known mountain range in Northern Ireland. However this luscious, sparsely populated landscape of mountains, rivers and forests is fast becoming a great favourite with hikers, walkers and cyclists (with bicycle hire available on site). There is an excellent choice of cycle routes in the immediate area, of varying length and difficulty including the Derg Valley Cycle Route, the Bann Valley Cycle Route and Lough Fea Cycle Route amongst many others.
Permeated by a number of rivers, The Sperrin Region is hugely popular with anglers. The rivers Ballinderry, Burn Dennet, Camowen, Drumragh and Faughan offer excellent game angling while the Barronscourt Lakes, Fairy Water River and Lower Bann offer good coarse angling. There are a number of local fisheries near Sperrin Holiday Cottages including Altmore Trout Fishery, Annaginny Fishery, Dungannon Park, Eskragh Lough and Glenkeen Trout Fishery.
In addition to golf and horse riding, there are a variety of outdoor activities on offer in the Sperrin Region. These range from kayaking and rock climbing at the Castlewellan Forest Park to paintballing and quad biking at the Todds Leap Adventure Centre and for those feeling particularly adventurous, the Wild Geese Parachute Centre runs a variety of skydiving courses.
Our self catering accommodation in Tyrone is ideally situated whether you want to enjoy the great outdoors or get in touch with your wild side and try some extreme activities.
