I have come back year after year to these properties as they are so ideally located on south Kerry near beaches and golf and fishing. Very cosy but need of finishing touches , such as hanging space for coats And bathroom furnishings. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The house was spacious, bright, clean and fabulous! We really appreciated the many single beds as we had a lot of youths with us, who don't like sharing beds. All the basics were present and the site manager was efficient and most welcoming.

Spent a week here June 2016. A lovely quiet spot, 10 minute walk from beach and shops. A good location to get the best of both worlds being in between Portmagee and Derrynane. Would stay again.

My family and I booked the Waterville holiday homes for Easter week it was nice to get a break away after winning a photo competition from Trident Holiday Homes (photo selected for the Trident Holiday Homes calendar 2016 ) so off we headed on Good Friday.
When we arrived at the house we were amazed at the size, a lovely open plan house that would be able to sleep 8 two bedrooms down stairs two bed rooms upstairs, two bedrooms upstairs had en suites one with a bath ideal for kids or adults to have a good relaxing soak after a long day the other en suite had a power shower ...a fully equipped kitchen underfloor heating which when we arrived the house was nice and cosy for us.
We were greeted by Samantha who was the manager on site to welcome us and to show us around the house. In the living room there is an open fire which we lit at night (nothing like an open fire turf which we got locally and blocks and coal. The house is within walking distance (about 10 minutes )of Waterville which is handy if you wanted to sample a pint or two in the village there are ample bars and two hotels. One of the hotels The Sea Lodge is perfect if you wanted to have a meal and listen to piano music. The location of the house is ideal base to tour some of Kerry’s hidden gems along the Wild Atlantic Way, if you turn left coming out of the house you could travel to Cahersiveen and on in to Portmagee and on to Valentia Island' or you could drive the Skellig ring on a fine day the views are breath-taking we really have a gem of a country the beauty is eye watering.

Tours to Skellig Rock run from May to August weather permitting 60 euros ahead so they tell me you may get a better price if you haggle (do not quote me on this ).
If you drive in to Waterville and go right then you could travel on to Derrynane the vies are stunning and the beach you would find hard to get anywhere in the world. Carrols Cove which has a lovely beach and Irelands only beach bar the drive down there is worth it and you could go further afield and drive in to Sneem, Kenmare and if you were adventurous do the full Ring of Kerry.
So if you are thinking of renting a holiday home this year hand on heart I would recommend the Wateville holiday homes it won’t be disappointing, weather I can’t guarantee but one thing I can ...enjoyment at is best!
I will pass on photos to Trident Holiday Homes so hopefully you can see yourself the breath-taking views..

Stayed in no 10 for the weekend of 25-27 Sept. The house was spacious & spotlessly clean. Easy to either walk or drive to the village & in a perfect location for exploring the surrounding area. Definitely be back!

We stayed for the 1st week of August we were pleasantly surprised by the house it was comfy and spacious. The beds were made on arrival (thanks Sam) the shops restaurants and bars were within walking distance. A great base for exploring Kerry. We had a wonderful time and will be returning next year .
The Clarke/Reynolds family.

Stayed here for a week in Aug 14. Houses are to a very high standard and supplied with everything. Handy walk into the town and back again. Found it to be a good base to head to Valentia , Derrynane and beyond. Would have no problem in recommending it to anyone.

Two lovely weeks with glorious weather in a spectacular part of Ireland. Waterville is still old world and the people we met were all very nice, whether in the shops, the restaurants or on the street. A very comfortable and quiet holiday home in a convenient location made this a holiday to remember. Samantha, the charming and helpful Manager made sure all was as it should be and her team ensured the place was spotless. We'll be back. One small point, this part of Kerry seems pretty obsessed in decorating the gardens with enormous rocks, perhaps echoing the beauty of the surrounding mountains. One could easily forget they were right beside the car at the front driveway and fall over them, resulting in a fall or an injury. As a landscaping feature it looks good, but be careful.

We stayed at this property for a week in July 2013 and couldn't have been happier. We had just come from another rental home on the West Coast and were so surprised with the different feel and level of comfort. As a yearly visitor to Ireland, with multiple rental stories to share, this property was excellent. Thank you. The layout of the house was fabulous for my elderly parents and the spaciousness of the rooms gave us all plenty of room. The curb appeal, both front and back was very tasteful and gave us privacy. The manager was accommodating, fantastic with attention to detail (especially cleanliness which is not a given in all Irish rentals), and generally a great face of Trident Homes. The house was well stocked with contemporary supplies which made dining in just as enjoyable as out. Thank you. We'll be sure to return.

Have just availed of the "two weeks for the price of one" offer in Waterville and found it excellent value. We enjoyed good weather for October and found the accommodation first class. It proved to be an excellent base and allowed us to make trips to Sneem, Kenmare, Valentia Island and Killarney. I even managed to squeeze in some rounds of golf at Skelligs Bay and Waterville links. Thanks to Sam for looking after us so well.

Kevin Osborne - 22/10/2013 18:20:38

Just back from another excellent stay at the Waterville Holiday Homes. The houses were as good as ever - comfortable and well-equipped - while the setting is convenient and attractive. the weather was also excellent and made trips to Derrynane and Valentia Island a delight. I am very much looking forward to my next visit!

Brian Murphy - 16/10/2013 08:53:19

Very comfortable and well equipped houses.
When you enter the house the first impression is of a clean and well maintained property. Despite some less than perfect weather the house always felt cosy. We would certainly consider staying there again if we return to Waterville.

Stephen Mahon - 27/08/2013 12:37:37

Just returned from a week staying in waterville, the house was fab and the kids loved it. It was a home away from home and only 10 mins walk from the village. We loved the open fire and it is such a beautiful part of the country. The kitchen had all the mod cons and the bedrooms were large and spacious, would highly recommend staying there,Even though it was a long drive from wicklow but well worth taking the costal road, some of the most breath taking views to be seen.I would highly recommend holidaying with Trident in Waterville to anybody. The master bedroom that had a bed to die for ,you could sleep 4 people in it and three twin rooms all with own bathroom, could not find a fault, loved the place. Kids enjoyed them selfs, best thing was the DVD player, you could hire out films at the local supermarket which was only a 10min walk into the village.Thank you Sam for looking after us and thank you Trident Homes for the wonderfull holliday

Very Best Regards Peter & Family

Just back from a wonderful week in Waterville. The Trident houses are fantastic, but I have one comment. The houses are "pet-friendly" but not "pet secure". There are no gates to the garden and all the trees and shrubs mask the access points, that our little dogs could get through. We had a few stressful hours when we lost one of them thinking that our make shift gate had worked. It is just something to think about it for future marketing. if the gardens were secure, all of the dogs etc could be out in the gardens all day.

Our family will possibly use the holiday homes again but the cost of the keenels and the cost of the house for a week, will drive our budget through the roof, which is a pity. Just thought I would provide the feedback.

Just back from two weeks in Waterville Trident Holiday Homes. This was our fifth (or maybe sixth) visit to these houses. The houses are great. Even after this length of time, the house was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The carpets and sofa covers had been cleaned since our last visit. Samantha, who manages the houses, and her team do a super job.
We were especially lucky with the weather this year, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Looking forward to next year already.

Just back from an amazing holiday in Waterville, Co. Kerry, with our two kids (8 and 4) and despite already extending our stay, It was with heavy hearts we dragged ourselves away from this little spot of heaven. We all enjoyed it so much that the kids decided it had been our best ever holiday!! We've been at various trident properties around the country over the years, and this time we decided on Waterville. The holiday homes are always fantastic, and this one was no different, fully deserving of all its four stars, and more. Its comfortable, very spacious (4 double or twin bedrooms and 3 bathrooms), modern design, bright and airy. It is spotlessly clean with a full kitchen well stocked with utensils. The complex is well laid out, very pretty and extremely private and quiet. Its a short walk into Waterville, which has a good selection of bars and restaurants. Our particular favourites were Beachcove Café (amazing coffees and baking, and great with the kids), Fishermans Bar and Smugglers Inn (have lunch outside overlooking the beach!). Waterville is on the ring of Kerry, which speaks for itself but the absolute beauty of the area is simply breathtaking!! Stunning mountains and gorgeous beaches. We were lucky enough to be there in a heatwave, and there are so many amazing beaches around you could honestly go to a different one every day. Our favourite without a doubt was Derrynane, but it is very popular, especially at the weekends, and parking gets hectic as the day goes on so go early. Truly magnificent!! We were also there for the Waterville Childrens Festival, which runs from a Fri to Sun in early July. This was great, the kids loved it. Apart from all the usual little bits and pieces, face painting, art and crafts marquee etc there was Zorbing, water balls, bouncy castle, petting zoo, treasure hunt etc. It was Five Euro per child (or 20 Euro for a family) for an armband for the weekend, and this allows them access to everything! Apparently the Charlie Chaplin Comedy Festival is fantastic for all the family too, so that's on our list to check out next! Another great day out is a visit to the chocolate factory in Ballinskelligs. The factory itself is open so you can watch them making (and sample!) the chocolate, then have a coffee in the coffee shop. It is right beside a gorgeous little beach cove and a great little playground. They run chocolate making workships for kids, which look great fun. Ours didn't attend but I'd imagine it would be a great fun way to pass an afternoon if the weather wasn't great. The property caretaker Sam was great, very helpful and as she had young kids herself was a good source of advice and local information. All in all we had a fantastic holiday. Amazing location, amazing holiday home and amazing weather (ok I know that bit doesn't come in the holiday guarantee so don't forget the wellies just in case)...... I couldn't recommend both the property and the area highly enough. We'll be back!!!!

Miriam Molloy - 19/07/2013 10:48:51

I would highly recommend holidaying with Trident in Waterville, and indeed the Ballinskelligs. The houses are more than a 4 star standard. Excellently kitted out, with very high quality fixtures, fittings and superb interior decor. The house was very large, rooms upstairs were enormous with a superking bed in the master and 2 rooms downstairs were about the same size as master bedrooms in a regular house. We loved our time there. Fantastic location with nearby beaches and then half way between Derrynane beaches and Ballinskelligs, St Finan's Bay and Valentia. Looking forward to booking with Trident again, while they do not have several hundred houses to choose from like other companies, they carefully select the best places in the best locations. My family booked Trident many times before they bought their holiday homes,I can now see why. The management (Sam snd her team) were excellent and most attentive. The only downside was explaining to our 8 year old son at the end of the week that we did not own the house and had to give it back.

Claire & Nigel Jenkinson - 17/07/2013 23:28:45

I have just returned from my 4th visit to Waterville. That speaks for itself. My friends were very impressed by the Trident home. At this stage, it feels like going home. We were loath to leave and I will definitely book with Trident again.

The Waterville Holiday Homes are excellent properties, equipped and appointed to the highest standards and located in a cosy, well laid out cul-de-sac format. They are also within easy walking distance of shops, pubs, and so on. I am already looking forward to my next visit!

Brian Murphy - 22/04/2013 10:25:50

Hello to all of you at Trident Holiday Homes!!

I have to thank you for the opportunity you gave me to stay at one of your houses.

I was one of the winners of the weekend rental that you gave away in your birthday celebration
some time late last year......
we stayed down in waterville and i have to say that everything was 'spot on!!'
the house was so lovely and clean and sam had the heating on for us so it was lovely and
cosy when we arrived- especially as the weather was appalling!!
it was just 'what it said on the tin' - we were not disappointed!
so, thanks again and we hope to book with you again in the near future!!
