Just 3 km from Kenmare on the Sneem road, Dunkerron Woods Holiday Homes are set in a delightful natural woodland estate that forms part of the grounds of the 13th century Dunkerron castle. Kenmare is a pretty heritage town with excellent restaurants, galleries, shops and pubs, and is right on the Ring of Kerry and the start of the Beara Way.
The attractive 3 bedroom detached holiday homes have open plan living/dining area with flame affect fire and comfortable sofas, and a well fitted kitchen on the ground floor. On the 1st floor there is one double (with en suite bathroom), one twin bedroom, a single bedroom and family bathroom. The gardens are open plan, with private patio, and shared grounds in a natural, landscaped environment.
Visitors to the holiday homes in Kenmare can enjoy outdoor activities such as golf, cycling and walking on the marked trails on the Beara Way and the Kerry Way. There are kids activities in Kenmare and the delights of Lakes of Killarney, Muckross House and the Skelligs are all a great day out for all the family.
Kenmare to Killarney – 33Km
Kenmare to Cork City – 96Km
Kenmare to Rosslare Harbour – 297Km
Lovely holiday home in a woodland setting in the grounds of the O'Sullivan Dunkerron Castle which is now a ruin. Make sure you bring tea towels, dish cloth and soap and toiletries. Overall a good bade to explore West Cork and Kerry, although Kenmare is more of an adult destination, with good restaurants and hotels but not much for kids to do. Killarney would be better for families.

We were a party of 4 staying in a 3 bed property which was meticulously clean and very well equipped. Dunkerron Woods is a short drive from Kenmare and a perfect location from which to explore the surrounding areas. We had a fantastic week and hope to return. We highly recommend the property and commend Kathy and her team on such lovely holiday homes.

Lovely clean, well-equipped home. We found ours very warm, with a gas fire in case we needed. We enjoyed the walk down to the beach, and used it as a base to explore the area by car. Our cottage was the closest to the main road, I would definitely return, however if possible I would probably request a cottage set further away from the road. Otherwise a lovely stay!

These detached holiday homes in a beautiful maintained parkland are the best holiday homes I and my large family have ever stayed in in Ireland. We were a party of 12 adults and were spread over two four bedroomed houses, each having three bathrooms. We all agreed the houses were 5 star and hopefully will return. Kathy who manage them could not have been more helpful, thank you from us all Kathy

Spent a week in a 4 bed property. There were 8 adults in our group. Kitchen v well equipped, bathroom facilities v suitable for our number. We found the living area met all our needs. Each property has a bench in the garden ours was in need of painting but aside from that we were very pleased with the property. The estate was quiet and child friendly .

A large group of 24 of us stayed across 3 of the 4 bedroomed holiday homes. These are the best equipped self catering houses I have ever stayed in with more than enough delf and cooking utensils. The houses were exceptionally clean and well maintained inside and out. The homes are in a quiet and peaceful location but in close proximity to Kenmare town. The bedrooms are very spacious with comfortable beds. I will be returning to stay here without doubt. Commendations to the site manage Kathy who made our arrival and departure hassle free.

We stayed at Dunkerron wood in a 4 bedroom House, there were 8 adults. The house was in excellent condition with all one could expect. The kitchen was perfect for our need as we cooked in a lot. one small disappointment was the lack of leisure seating in the sitting room, another 3 seat couch would have been perfect but none was available. We highly recommend this property.

We stayed in one of the 3 bedroom houses here, huge bedrooms with en suite each, house was spotless clean and extremely well equipped. A little bit outside the town but we had our car so that didn't matter, a lovely property.

Fantastic houses, we missed some kitchen items as microwave pans, cooking pans not complete items missing, was known but not solved. Better addressing on arrival would help finding location.

We had a great holiday in kenmare. The houses were great very spacious inside slept 8 very comfortably. The only complain that I would have is outside around the house could have been cleaner. There was dirty used bbq's in the garden area and a lot of dead leaves that could have been cleaned up. Also there was a lot of briars growing out of the hedge and onto the paths. Maybe more garden maintenance. Other that than great house and location. Thanks
