We travelled as a couple but were so impressed that we invited our friends to join us for the weekend. My prime interest was photography while my wife wanted simply to relax and rest. This location was ideal for both. We travel extensively both in Ireland and abroad and this was one of our most memorable and enjoyable holidays in recent times. No review would be complete without mentioning Veronica who was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable regarding the local area. Please give her a big pay rise!

This is our second time staying in Ballyconneely. We absolutely loved the conservatory; each morning we had our coffee there, looking out over the Bens, and the small lake. Breath-taking. Excellent facilities. However, wi-fi would be most welcome; not a deal-breaker, but more an inconvenience (that's why it's called a vacation). A barbecue grill would be nice as well, though we managed with disposables. Already planning for next year. Veronica is a gem. Pleasant, helpful, and friendly. Ideal location for golfers, beach-goers, walkers. Very relaxing.

Great location for a family holiday.
However, nowadays, one would expect to have a basic barbecue in the garden and also wi-fi. Both of these would be a deal breaker for me in future.
Thanks to Veronica for all her help and pleasantness.

A wonderful week in the awesome setting that is connemara! Kids met other kids staying at another holiday cottage & had gr8 fun. Locals friendly @ traffic on road friendly too! No road rage here so plenty of time to check signs on road trips. All basic comforts well catered for. Pony treking accross road from cottages a must! Keoghs for food superb. Bunpern beach walking distance for us & kids was a break from driving.

What a lovely home! We felt welcome and settled in immediately. Having a cosy home to retreat to was especially nice since we were a bit unlucky with the bad weather in this time of year! Thanks also to Veronica who explained everything to us.great experience!!

We stayed in a 2 bed bungalow. Which we really enjoyed. (We do think it was a pity they got rid of the third bedroom. ) The lovely lady Veronica was in charge who could not have been more helpful with everything and anything (as always a pleasure to deal with)

All I can say is from the moment I stopped the car outside the FANTASTIC bungalow, the fun, peace & tranquility started. The conservatory was so good for my meditation & keeping Adam my 6 year old out of my hair with the D.V.D. tele, what a God send. The bungalow was fantastic, rich in suroundings & ambience. Even on the rainy days the lake in front was mesmorising, My friend from Oranmore who doesnt "get" why people like the west of Ireland, stood in the conservatory & smiled & said "I get it now" Big achievement there!!! For the record, I cried leaving.
