Kilkee is a fantastic family holiday destination, in addition to its fantastic beach Kilkee is home to Waterworld an indoor aqua park. There are plenty of outdoor activities for all ages on offer in the immediate area such as diving at the local Oceanlife Dive Centre which holds courses for all levels of ability. Surfing at Kilkee Surf School and a variety of water sports with Nevsail Watersports which include sailing and powerboating.

Golfers can enjoy some breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean while playing at
Kilkee Golf Club while the famous Doonbeg Golf Club is mere 10 minute drive away and Lahinch Golf Club is a 30 minute drive.

Kilkee is a long established seaside holiday resort with a great selection of restaurants and pubs.  In the Victorian era, seaweed baths were very popular, these have since been replaced by the Thalassotherapy Centre which offers a variety of treatments ranging from the traditional to state of the art.

This part of the
Clare coast line is particularly dramatic and there are some really stunning walks along the cliffs. The area is popular with bird watchers and nearby Loop Head is particularly scenic with the added advantage of being slightly off the main tourist trail. For a change from the sandy beach, why not head to the Pollock Holes, three naturally enclosed rock pools which are ideal for bathing.

Please note that there are steps up to all apartments and there are no three bed apartments on the ground floor. These apartments have 2 bedrooms the 3rd bedroom is an open plan mezzinane level with 2 single beds overlooking the living area.

Spanish Cove self catering accommodation in Kilkee is a really great base for exploring both Co. Clare and north Kerry made easily accessible by the Tarbet Ferry.

Great location and well equipped apartment. We really enjoyed our stay it was spacious the only issue was the heating wasnt working in the main area and one of the bedrooms and it was cold.

Well run complex. Clean apartment with fresh bed linen. A few lightbulbs not working, everthing else in good order.

Great location. enjoyed our stay. Apartment could do with more mugs, bowls etc & maybe a casserole dish. Jenny was very helpful & gave us more pillows & a frying pan. pity the hotel at the front is closed.

Nice apartments. Kids loved the mezzanine bedroom, which they said felt like their "own" apartment. Jenny v. flexible with checking in & out - which was very helpful. Apartment clean & comfortable. Liked the nice touches like the dishwasher tablets provided - in previous years, I always managed to forget to bring some!

I highly recommend Spanish Cove Apartments in Kilkee. Very comfortable and so close to both the sea and fabulous cliff walks. What a pity that the hotel in front of apartments has closed, not only a loss to the town but also the inevitable non-lived- in appearance creates a negative impression. I hope to return in the future.

We are just back from a week stay and I'm already planning to return next summer.
This was our second visit to Spanish Cove we opted for a 3 bedroom this time.
There have been huge improvements made in the complex, its got a new lease of life with the lovely flower beds.
The duplex itself was spotless, it was newly decorated and had its kitchen was very well stocked with utensils and Delph.
The new flat screen tvs were a bonus.
The bedrooms are well sized and had crisp new bed sheets.
Parking was no problem as there are also plenty of spaces available. The complex itself is quiet and on both occasions we stayed we never had any issues.
Well done to Jenny and her team.

Having just returned from Spanish Cove, I would like to compliment all involved. Property was just as described and the attentive staff made everything so easy. From timely efficient check-in to our departure, the manager was so courteous and helpful. Even when a small issue arose at 10 pm at night, it was solved within 5 minutes to my satisfaction. I have no problem recommending this accommodation and will return next year.

We stayed for 3 weeks in Block B. We had a ground floor apt. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Jenny was very helpful and nothing was a problem.

The following are some changes not to be confused with criticism of the property.
1. The curtains need to be fixed the hooks are broken and give the place a shabby look.
2. The walls could do with being painted.
3. A few sharp knives,a big pot and lasagne/casserole dish are needed.
4. The TV had 3 channels and was very small. A bigger TV and WIFI would be great.

I would highly recommend the property it's location and secure parking.

We will definitely go back.

We had a super stay in spanish cove and as repeat customers, we got the usual high standard of reception as always. Jenny and her team had everything ready and any requests we had were dealt with immediately and with efficiency. The accommodation was clean and prepared, even the beds were made! All the staff we encountered for the week were friendly and efficient-well done to all.

This was a good location right beside sea but unfortunately I didn't mention when I was booking that we were traveling with my elderly mother we were given 2 houses both upstairs which she found very difficult to manage also the teenagers in our party found it hard to cope with 3 channels and a very small dated tv and no internet. Houses overall need updating.

The living area is great for a group of people. The balcony was amazing and our little view of the bay was lovely. 20A is definetely recommended.

Helena - 04/07/2014 13:34:41

The apartment was in a good location although, alot of steps to climb if you are elderly. Very clean!

Elaine Killeen - 04/10/2013 11:38:50

The apartment is in a great location. It was very clean and had everything one needed. However the complex itself could do with a bit of painting and cleaning.
Overall great value for money and we hope to go back next. year

Just back from a 1 week stay and already planning to go back on my holidays next year.

The apartments were great location just across the road from the beach, with plenty of secure parking. The apartment was spotless with a great view.
Overall great value for money and we will be going back next year

Great location, pity the hotel beside it is closed. Very comfortable bedding, everything very clean, just a little dated but good value for the price we got..staff very helpful on arrival. Would use trident again....

Spanish cove is a fantastic location. 2 mins, from beach , and 5 mins walk to town centre . Although the apartment were very clean, I do feel the complex needed a bit of attention . Very shabby in places , a lick of paint , a bit of weeding , and some touches like new blinds , would make a big difference.

Fiona Johnson - 17/07/2013 22:02:16

very good place to stay i would go again

ava daly - 14/07/2013 13:15:48

We had a great holiday app was clean and comfortable. If you want a bit of advise for other customers the grounds needed some TLC. Weeds in balcony and windows needed cleaning. Some appliances were dated but worked. Bins outside were a mess for a few days. Saying all that we will holiday there again. As I said it was clean and comfortable.
